Optimizing Design Strategies and Interactive Media to improve User Experience: A Case Study in the Eyewear Industry.
Creating engaging websites for an eyewear industry is quite a challange. People tend to prefer buying and trying on eyewear in local stores. But before they decide to go to the shop, they often check the website to see what models of glasses are in their collection. And there here come our role to convince our customers to stay interested in the products as long as possible.
In my first blogpost, I wanted to bring up the topic of effective communication and presentation as I found it something I needed to learn and improve at the begining of my UX journey.
Effective Communication in Design Decisions:
Before we start working on the website there is need to build trust and communication between designers and ‚the people who have influence over the project‘ – coworkers & stakeholders. Tom Greever’s book, Articulating Design Decisions, emphasizes the importance of clear communication to ensure everyone is on the same page and to deliver the best results.
Presenting ideas and clearly articulating our design decisions is vital to the process. Effective communication helps avoid misunderstandings, aligns the team’s vision, and ensures that everyone works towards a common goal. It also facilitates constructive feedback, allowing for iterative improvements. Ultimately, design is a method of conveying information, making effective communication essential for successful project outcomes.
